Commonly used for very thin walled but very strong lightweight laminates, made from 50% carbon fibre and 50% glass fibre. The orientation of the fibres make it ideal for the forces in a prosthetic socket. Lengths are measured when the fibres are at 45° (not when stretched).
Combining the strengths of both materials, this braid is both strong and lightweight. Can be used in conjunction with all other fibres on the website. Can be used with acrylic and OrthoPoxy Resin. Ideal stock item for smaller workshops with limited materials storage space- no need for separate carbon and glass braids. Available in standard BK (8cm width) and AK (10cm width) 1kg rolls.
